Internet safety is taught periodically throughout the year to students in grades K-5. Teaching them to make good decisions about the internet and social media is more important than ever. Students need to learn to be good digital citizens, and how to protect their digital footprint, even at a very young age. Parents need to be aware of what kids see and hear on the Internet, who they meet, and what they share about themselves online. Always be aware of what your child is doing online. Keep open the lines of communication, and have discussions with your child about cyberbullying issues and inappropriate behavior.
